Alison Lambert | Human Presences
–
This is Alison’s first solo exhibition for 5 years and consists of her large, dramatic charcoal drawings based on the human figure and a new series of haunting monotypes. Her unique technique of tearing the paper and constantly adding and taking away with both the paper and charcoal, give these amazing drawings a sculptural quality. Her inspiration derives from classical references.
Alison’s work is represented in the contemporary collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Museum.
