The Coningsby Gallery

Debut Art

Outstanding contemporary illustration
and graphic and fine art.

Jennifer Morrison

Born in South Africa in 1971, I studied both there and in London, where I graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. I have exhibited in London group shows and at corporate venues and have had solo exhibitions at the Arndean Gallery, Cork Street, and at the Coningsby Gallery, London. My work is in private collections in South Africa, Singapore and London.

My work deals predominantly with colour and shape. I use these elements to explore juxtaposition, repetition, movement and rhythm. I’m interested in weighing accident against deliberation, precision and control against playfulness and freedom. I am endlessly fascinated by this intersection of order and chaos. Although I have lived in London for two decades, the colours of South Africa have never left me and remain a central influence in my work.
