The first overseas solo exhibition of pioneering Chinese digital artist Chen Momo, Meta-Abyss: A Multiverse of Fashion Photography, will officially open on December 14, 2024, in London, UK.
This exhibition combines photography and cutting-edge CG technology to explore the intersection of fashion, technology, and avant-garde art. Inspired by Chinese philosophy and posthumanist theory, Chen Momo’s work redefines the boundaries between reality and fantasy, presenting a multidimensional visual universe.
The exhibition is divided into four chapters—
Wonderland reimagines traditional Chinese aesthetics, merging them with technology to create visions of an ethereal paradise.
Entanglement delves into the delicate balance between humanity, nature, and technology.
Arrival, inspired by the eponymous science fiction film, evokes a surreal, otherworldly atmosphere.
Balance, drawing inspiration from the cyclical and harmonious dynamics of the Five Elements—metal, wood, water, fire, and earth—explores the deep connections and symbiosis between humanity and nature.
Chen Momo has collaborated with top global luxury brands such as Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel. His avant-garde creations merge futuristic imagination with traditional Chinese aesthetics, probing the evolving relationship between humanity and technology.
