University of Suffolk BA (Hons) Graphic Design | THIS IS
–
This is a celebration of the achievements, designs, and friendships the University Campus Suffolk BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Graphic Design (Graphic Illustration) class of 2014 have made in three years of study. We invite you all to come and join us at The Coningsby Gallery for an exclusive one week exhibition, showcasing our final year projects and design portfolios.
The exhibition focuses on the stand out pieces created by each of the recent graduates and is an opportunity to promote the design talent that has been fostered while at UCS. It’s a chance to discover the next shining potential in the graphic design and illustration world. Come to our private view on Monday 10th November and get a chance to chat with many of the contributors to the exhibition, and pick their brains as to what it takes to design stunning pieces such as these.
During our time at UCS we have been recognised nationally and internationally, members of the course have received awards from the likes of Antalis McNaughton, Benson Group, World Packaging Organisation, and Starpack. We have exhibited as a group at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich Museum, and University Campus Suffolk. In 2013, the group came together to create a resource for local food banks, the Foodfile Recipe Collection, a live project completed in collaboration with Suffolk County Council that was distributed to 3000 recipients. Graduates have also been awards internships at Turner Classic Movies, The Idle Man, Empire Design, BS&T and BBC, as well as international internships in China. Students have gone on to be featured in Creative Review, join design firms in Ipswich and London, create freelance ventures and work abroad.
We also celebrate the culmination of our successes in fundraising, a year ago the group took part in an International Design Auction with the goal of funding end of year shows in Ipswich, and in London. Completely designed and implemented by all the members of the class of 2014, the auction saw works from some of the world’s most respected designers and illustrators including: Milton Glaser, Stefan Sagmeister, Philippe Starck, Margaret Calvert, Derek Birdsall, Pentagram, Tony Brook, Steven Heller, Michael Beirut, George Lois, and Adrian Shaughnessy.
